Researches
For the purpose to contribute to the development of the governmental regulations at IMO (International Maritime Organization),JSTRA is conducting researches relating to maritime safety, efficiency of navigation and control of marine pollution from ships.

The results of our researches made basing on the technology, know-how and practices of one of the leading countries in the field of shipping and shipbuilding are being submitted to IMO and are greatly contributing to IMO of its development of international regulations.

International Meetings

JSTRA staff and its experts are attending IMO Committee and Sub-Committee meetings for presentation and/or explanation of its researches.

JSTRA is also participating in the other meetings relating to the development of international regulations such as performance standards for protective coatings,prevention of air pollution, etc.

As a part of our survey for the future course of international regulations, JSTRA is further participating various international symposiums and conferences to exchange views and information with the world maritime circle members.
