 2nd ASEF in KOREA ANNOUNCEMENT

1st ASEF
It is vital for the shipbuilding industry to establish clear channels of communication and to engage in dialogue concerning common matters related to international technical regulations and standards, which can significantly affect shipbuilding industries. It is also important for shipbuilding engineers throughout Asia to enhance mutual understanding on maritime issues, to express internationally relevant opinions, and ultimately to promote maritime safety and environmental conservation. For this purpose, the first session of Asia Shipbuilding Experts’ Forum for International Maritime Technical Initiative (ASEF) was held at Museum of Maritime Science, Tokyo, Japan in November 2007. The Forum agreed to continue to hold the Forum continuously in member countries.
